Mother's Day Meal Out

Hello yous!

As most of you probably know, it was Mothering Sunday on 30th March.

Now usually, most people would but their mums nice gifts and flowers and things, but no. My mum is the most difficult person to buy for! She doesn't like jewlery, there aren't any CDs she wants and she has plenty of cloths. 

So instead, this year, we picked her up from work at 8:15pm and took her straight out for a meal at Harbour Lights Beef Eater in North Harbour, Portsmouth and yes, I took my camera along..

For starters I had Salt and Peppered Prawns with some sauce (I can't remember what it's called though!)

This was actually quite yummy (minus the salt and the pepper). I am a HUGE lover of prawns..

Picking a main course is always easy for me! Being the fussy eater and pasta lover I am, instead of sitting there and reading through the whole menu, I simply skip straight to the pasta and salad section (and then get very disapointed when some restaurants don't have it).

This time, I had a Chicken and Bacon Salad with Lemon and Herb dressing..

Now this I must say was PANTS! It was honestly the worst salad I have ever had.

Then for desert.. I had a Caramel and Popcorn sundae, and wow, this was BEAUTIFUL!

So that's what I treated my mum to on Mother's Day!

Slight Change In Blog Posts.. PHOTOGRAPHY

Hello yous!

 

So I started my blog just over a year ago, but I haven't really kept it up very well.. This is partly because I am very busy with college work and other commitments but also partly because I simply don't know what to blog about! I get really stuck for post ideas and every time I have an idea, it's from somebody else's blog and I don't want to seem like I'm copying them so I don't do it..

But I have had a new idea!

 

Do you ever go somewhere, like a zoo for example, where you take pictures of every animal you see, get home, put them on your computer and then never really look at them again?

Well I do that all the time! So I had this idea..

 

At Christmas, I got a new camera, a pretty posh one at that. I got the Olympus SZ-15 and it really does take amazing pictures! So where ever I go, I take it with me and I take lots of pictures, but then I never do anything with them pictures.
So I'm going to start writing blog posts of where I go and put the best pictures into a post for you all to see. At least then the pictures wont sit on my laptop never getting looked at..

 

I will still do other blog posts too like I started, but doing this will mean I get a use out of my camera and my pictures and I will post more regularly!
